The Twelve Concepts of Sexaholics Anonymous

1. Final responsibility and ultimate authority for SA service should always reside in the collective conscience of our whole Fellowship.
2. Leadership through the General Delegate Assembly and Board of Trustees serves as the active voice and conscience for service matters.
3. Each service structure element should possess a traditional "Right of Decision" to ensure effective leadership.
4. "Right of Participation" should be maintained at all levels, with voting representation proportionate to responsibilities.
5. A "Right of Appeal" ensures minority perspectives receive consideration and personal grievances are addressed carefully.
6. The Board of Trustees bears chief initiative and active responsibility for most service matters.
7. Board Bylaws serve as legal instruments; SA service documents rely on tradition and financial resources for effectiveness.
8. Trustees function as principal administrators of overall policy and finance.
9. Strong service leadership at all levels proves indispensable for organizational functioning and safety.
10. Each service responsibility requires matching authority with clearly defined scope.
11. Trustees need assistance from quality committees, staff, and consultants with carefully considered qualifications and procedures.
12. Leadership must embody SA tradition while avoiding wealth concentration, maintaining democratic practices, and reaching decisions through discussion and substantial unanimity.
